Assoc. Prof. Soorathep Kheawhom
Soorathep Kheawhom (SKH) is an associate professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, Thailand.
He received Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in chemical engineering at Chulalongkorn University in 1997 and then started his first job there for two years (1997-1999). After that, he spent five years in Japan for Master and Ph.D. courses under the guidance of Prof. Masahiko Hirao. He received Ph.D. from the University of Tokyo in 2004. Since then he joined the Department of Chemical Engineering, Chulalongkorn University.
His current research focuses on zinc-based batteries such as zinc-air, zinc-ion, and zinc-iodines batteries.

Dr. Durai Govindarajan
Durai is focused on the design and development of nano-structured materials for energy storage and conversion applications, especially for supercapacitors & solar cells. His research interests are; thin films, PVD techniques, 2D materials, hydrothermal/chemical synthesis techniques, electrode fabrication, physicochemical characterizations & electrochemical measurements etc., He pursued his M.Sc & M.Phil in Physics from Bharathiar University, Coimbatore, India and Ph.D. in Physics with Materials Science & Nannoscience and Nanotechnology interdisciplinary from Sathyabama Institute of Science & Technology, Chennai, India.

Dr. Woranunt Lao-atiman
Woranunt's research interest is the operation of batteries, especially Zinc-air batteries. His expertise is in modeling and simulation, and he also has some experience in the fabrication process of the battery. He received a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in chemical engineering at Mahidol University in 2013. He received a Master of Engineering (M.Eng) and a doctoral of engineering (D.Eng) in chemical engineering at Chulalongkorn University in 2017 and 2021, respectively.

Dr. Wathanyu Kao-ian
Dr. Wathanyu Kao-ian obtained his B. Eng. degree in Chemical Engineering from King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang in 2015. He then received the Royal Golden Jubilee (RGJ) PhD Program scholarship and completed D.Eng. at Chulalongkorn University in 2022, under the supervision of Prof. Soorathep Kheawhom. He is currently a postdoctoral researcher in Prof. Soorathep Kheawhom’s research group. His research focuses on the development of zinc-ion and zinc-iodine batteries.

Dr. GOPALAKRISHNAN MOHAN
Gopal's research focuses on the design and development of novel bi and trifunctional electrocatalysts derived from COFs, porous organic polymers, and low-cost transition metal-based MOFs for use in Zinc-air batteries and Fuel cells. He has been an SKH group member since February 2021. He holds B.Sc. (Second honor) and M.Sc. in chemistry from the university of madras in India, as well as a Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry (2017) from the Vellore institute of technology in Tamil Nadu, India. He has developed multifunctional MOFs and metal silicate materials as key heterogeneous catalysts for organic reactions in recent years

Dr.Ramin Khezri
Ramin is a postdoctoral researcher with demonstrated expertise in zinc-based batteries and electrochemical processes. His current research focuses on the modification, development, and optimization of zinc-air flow batteries. In addition to his experience with numerical analysis, modeling, and computer simulation, he has conducted electrochemical analyses and electrode fabrication. Ramin earned a doctorate in chemical engineering from the University of Putra in Malaysia in 2019.

Dr. Shiva Rezaei
Since August 2021, Shiva is a postdoctoral researcher and a member of the SKH group. Shiva is interested in modifying the Zinc anode through designing electrolyte additives for the application of Zinc ion batteries (ZIB). In April 2021, she earned a doctorate in chemical engineering from University Putra Malaysia.

Dr. Mohammad Etesami
Mohammad is interested in synthesis of the electrocatalysts (metal-based, metal-carbon/polymer and metal-free carbon materials), and their applications in energy-related reactions (ORR, OER, water splitting, NRR, CO2RR, ...). After his PhD in electrochemistry, he worked on various catalysts for energy conversion and storage devices such as PEMFC, VRFB, supercapacitors and zinc-air batteries. He also works for Prof. Dr. Anongnat Somwangthanaroj who cooperate with Asso.Prof. Soorathep.

My interest area is mainly on control condition of charging process of zinc electrode of zinc-air battery and analysis of electrodeposition of zinc on electrode to reduce dendrite formation for extent life span of battery.

Abdulkadeem Sanni
Abdulkadeem is a holder of BEng. and MSc. in Chemical Engineering from Ahmadu Bello University, Nigeria. He subsequently secured two awards of academic excellence from Nigerian Federal Ministry of Education and Petroleum Technology Development Funds for a master program in Ahmadu Bello University with specialization in biofuel. He is currently undergoing a PhD program in energy storage system (Zn-Fe battery) at Chulalongkorn university under the sponsorship of ASEAN/NON-ASEAN scholarship scheme.
